CAI has 3 types of Memberships.

• Corporate - This is an all India Membership that covers all locations of the Member Company all over India with full voting rights.
  
  
• Full Fledged - This is a regular Membership that covers one location only with full voting rights.
  
  
• Associate - This membership covers one location only but without any voting rights.

Eligibility

All Courier Companies operating in either the Domestic or International sectors or both are eligible for Full Fledged Membership with full voting rights, regardless of their size or scale of operations. The only criterion is that the Company must be established and have a clean record. Courier Companies that have multi locations in India can opt for Corporate Membership and all Companies associated in any way with the Indian Courier Industry can opt for Associate Membership.

Application and Membership subscription fees

The Application form can be downloaded (Click here to download application form). This needs to be completed in all respects and submitted to the Registered Office of CAI alongwith the Entrance / Annual Subscription fees and the supporting documents mentioned therein. Every new member also needs to be recommended and seconded by an existing member. All new applications are screened by a select Committee and if found acceptable, the member is admitted. On admission, the member is issued a Membership Certificate (Click here to see specimen certificate) and is entitled to all facilities offered by the Association. The current membership subscription fees are as follows:

Effective 15th February, 2008, CAI Membership Fees (both Entrance & Annual Subscription) have been renewed as follows:  

1)	One time Entrance fee for all Categories	Rs.15,000.00
2)	Corporate Membership fee	Rs.7,500.00 per annum
3)	Full Fledged Membership fee	Rs.5,000.00 per annum
4)	Associate Membership fee	Rs.6,000.00 per annum
